A "graduation live" performance by high school third-year bands was held at City Jack in Misaki Town on the 2nd. Three bands performed, and gave a passionate performance of the culmination of their irreplaceable youth spent on the island. The event was planned by Yaeyama High School third-year four-piece group \u221aOyatsu, who called on the other two groups to make it happen.
The venue, a live music venue, was packed with classmates, family members, and school associates. There was standing room only in front of the stage, and it was packed like sardines.
The first act was "THE JESUS" from Yae High School. The four-piece band, all of whom are fans of the Blue Hearts, warmed up with classic pop and rock numbers, and then the light music band "Raymar" from Ya Shoko came next. They completely changed the atmosphere with covers of King Gnu songs.
Vocalist Ray, who also performs on the streets of Naha, overwhelmed the audience with his passionate performance.
Finally, the main act of the day, Root Oyatsu, appeared. Vocalist Momoka Chinen greeted the audience by saying, "This is our last live show before we leave the island. I hope you enjoy it," and the first song was back number's "Takane no Hanako-san." They performed all of their songs with emotion, including their original songs "Tomorrow" and "Aoi Shima," "Shimanjin no Takara" featuring a guest sanshin player, LINDBERG's "Kiss Me Now," which will be fondly remembered by their parents' generation, and a rock version of the "Yaeyama High School Song."
With graduation season fast approaching, music-loving high school students are rushing to see live performances. THE JESUS also appeared at the event they hosted on the 16th, "Yaekaze," with five other groups putting on a passionate performance, blowing the winds of Yaeyama.
Most of the students are in their third year of high school and will be leaving the island to continue their education or find a job. They leave the island with precious memories of their youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
