"Boo no Oto 2" release, Yokome-san's new album, nationwide tour
Tonight, performing at Ishigaki Island Festival
Yokome Daito (33), a musician from and resident of Shiraho, Ishigaki City, will release a new album, "Boo no Oto 2," on the 2nd.
This is the sequel to their debut album, which features music born in Shiraho. They will also be performing at the Ishigaki Island Festival on the same night, and will embark on a nationwide record release tour.
"Bo's Sound" means "my own sound" in the Shiraho dialect. While following the sound of his first album, which Yokome created by embracing his roots, this latest album, which he says "feels more island-like and village-like," contains seven songs, including "Let, s!! Shiraho Kouta!", "Romance Kouro" and "Shiraho Lion's Song." It's an album that really conveys his feelings for Shiraho and his own musicality. 2,000 yen including tax. It will be released digitally, with CDs also available for purchase in the future.
Local musicians, including Mast from Kiyama Shoten, participated in the recording. The cover art was created by Shiraho-based artist Rika Kasahara, who also did the previous album.
Yokome said, "I think people will enjoy it if they listen to it together with the previous work. If I can make people close to me, like the grandparents and children of Shiraho, happy, I think people who don't know me will be happy too."
They will perform live at City Jack in Misakicho on the evening of the 3rd. Reservations for the tour can be made via the QR code.
