"Life is not about winning or losing" Dad band Colores' first solo concert

「人生勝ち負けじゃない」おやじバンドカラレス、初ワンマン

The audience sympathized, cheering enthusiastically.

On the night of the 21st, the first one-man live performance of the two-year-old old man band "Colorless," in which all the members picked up their first instruments, was held at the City Jack in Misaki-cho. In addition to the popular songs from their youth, they also performed their original song "Gamushara DAYS." A passionate and positive message resounded throughout the venue: "Live life enjoying it, not winning or losing." Although they were not particularly good at playing, their attitude of trying hard to have fun spread the circle of sympathy and the audience cheered them on.

Colorless is a five-member group consisting of fellow classmates guitarist and vocalist Star Misaki (real name Shinji Misaki) (48), guitarist Hisashi Kaimori (48), bassist Koji Ota (49), drummer Takayuki Chinen (49), and saxophonist Masut Sakieda (47), who is one year younger. Formed in 2022, they have honed their skills by participating in open mic events at live houses where anyone can stand on stage once a month, but this time they took on their first solo performance.

Contrary to the band name, they appeared in colorful rainbow costumes and played nostalgic songs by CHAGEandASKA, Checkers, Hiromi Go, etc. In the solo corner where each member sang their favorite song, Kaimori performed The Waltz's "58 (Go-Pachi)", Ota performed Hamada Shogo's "AMERICA", and Chinen performed The Blue Hearts' "Aozora" on drums and vocals.

Misaki drew laughter from the packed audience by saying, "You didn't come here thinking it was a Kiyama Shoten concert, did you?" He expressed his gratitude by saying, "We're not very good, so 'It was fun' is a compliment. I'd be happy if people said 'It was fun, we're terrible' when they go home." He then spoke of his next goal, saying, "I want to perform at the Ishigakijima Festival."

After the performance, Chinen, whose birthday was the next day, was given a surprise cake and drumsticks by the band members. Chinen, who is originally known as a renowned guitarist, expressed his gratitude, saying, "My friends have taught me the joy of music once again."

The audience included classmates and people who had come from outside the prefecture after seeing the open mic broadcast, and they all came together with the band to share the joy of life. You can start your favorite hobby at any age. This island has all the elements you need to enjoy life to the fullest. That's what it felt like.
