Anyone who can play or sing folk songs (acoustic performance) is welcome to participate. This will be an open mic event.
April 9th is Folk Song Day, according to the pun.
The holiday was conceived by Yanawaraba, a folk duo from Ishigaki Island, in the hope of bringing about a revival of the folk song boom, and it is the first officially recognized commemorative day in the music genre.
